Keystone Club . . .
Trips to the State legislature to influence policy on a local level, speaking before congress, donating blood, picking up trash in a city park or simply helping younger members with their homework, the Teens at Eureka Kids never need to be told how to make their world a better place.
With so many examples of what our teens in this world have going against them, we are so fortunate to have the teens we do at Eureka Kids. Yes, they have the same trials and tribulations as all teens. Sure, sometimes they do make really bad decisions. But our teens have an uncanny ability to learn from every experience - and find a way to make their wold a little bit better. Not just for themselves, but for others, as well.
Projects that leave a lasting impact on the City and youth of Eureka Springs are a part of the legacy our Eureka Teens. The simplest acts of contributing to our community have influence on future generations.
Armed with an awareness of their environment, a keen sense of right & wrong as well as an unspoiled perspective of the future, Eureka Teens are always there to help others and themselves aspire, achieve and excel.
We are very proud of the academic achievements of our older teens in the last two years. The list of academic honors, scholarships and student service awards is surprisingly large for a community of less than 3000 residents. This is positive proof that public and private school systems work better in a community that also has the infrastructure of quality, professional youth and family services and programming.
Our kids have even successfully written and applied for grants to help them accomplish community service projects. All the while they consistently show a spirt of teamwork and individual initiative while taking action on the causes that matter most to them.
Now following an example of our oldest teens now poised to take on the world, the next crop of Eureka Kids show the same spirit.
Working today to preserve & revitalize the past and build a positive future, we are so proud of our Eureka Teens. It is encouraging to know they are ready & willing when they are given the opportunity to make a difference.
Eureka Kids is more than happy to provide that opportunity!
